behindthename.com is good, but that also makes mistakes sometimes. If you are a member, you can submit information though and correct it if it appears to be wrong.
Believe it or not, I've found Wikipedia actually very good on baby names!
If behindthename gives me a bit of a dud interpretation of a name, my next port of call is Wikipedia.
I haven't found anything better than the combination of these two sites.
Do you know the most accurate babyname site and not babynames.com because its very inaccurate?
Babynamesworld.com is pretty accurate and the one I use frequently. You are right about babynames.com. It is very inaccurate. They list James as a unisex name, and it is no where near being unisex.
